Animal Friends Project of Delray Beach, FL focuses on helping homeless cats in low income areas. We practice TNRM Trap Neuter Return Monitor of community cats. We help sick and injured animals by providing veterinary care and adoption whenever possible.
One more female cat from Pine Cone Lane in zip code 33417 has been fixed. She has had many litters and I am glad she is not going to go through that again.
Some of the kitties that are getting fixed today at Furry Friends 💕 My sister had 8 appointments and she gave me some. I took 2 from the junkyard, one from Stacy St. and one from a Hispanic grocery store in Westgate. She had 5 from different locations so in total we took 9 cats to the clinic.
I was able to trap 6 cats this morning. I only had four appointments so I am having to hold two to try to get them into a TNVR place next week. ![]()

I still have other places to finish but I wanted to start at this business. It is a huge junkyard on Benoits Farms Rd. in West Palm Beach, FL. I met one of the employees at ACC a couple of weeks ago and he said there were many cats and kittens at the junkyard. He was trying to surrender 4 beautiful and friendly kittens but ACC didn’t take them then because they said they weighed more than 4 lbs. and man needed to vaccinate them and then fill surrender form to get an appointment. I heard him say he could not keep them any longer and could not spend money on vet appointments and vaccines. He said he was just going to release them back to where he found them. I told him I could help him make a post on Facebook to see if a rescue could take since they were super friendly and seemed healthy. Thankfully, someone who works with rescues was there and she was able to take them. ![]()

I am always grateful for the opportunity to go inside a business like this because those cats are the ones that suffer the most. There seem to be approximately 15 cats there. I tried to trap the main female but she would not go in. I need to go back with the drop trap. I was using the bottle method but the other cats would push the bottle and it would close. Two kittens were eating in the trap when a third tried to go in and he made it close. I wish I had known about this place when those kittens were smaller.
I lost the sweet kitten yesterday 💔 He was a fighter but he was born too small. His sibling was also tiny so there is the possibility that the mother went into labor prematurely or that she was sick and the kittens didn’t develop well. He weighed only 51 grams. I am going to try to trap the mom soon. RIP sweetie 💕
Please pray for this little one to stay strong. Four of his siblings have died and he is the only one still fighting. I only found him because I stopped to evaluate a place where lady was asking for help with TNVR. She said one cat had given birth yesterday but she was not caring for the kittens. When she showed them to me, there were 2 but one was dead 😭 She said they were trying to get mom to nurse them. I wish they had called me yesterday or earlier today. I rushed home to warm him up and fed him a little. He is so small. I will try my best 💕
