I’m so grateful to Furry Friends for accepting this super friendly girl into their adoption program 💕. She comes from Altman Plant Nursery in Loxahatchee, FL. Through the years we have fixed and rescued many cats from there. Some have been injured and have died because it is a dangerous place for cats to live. This pretty girl was the only survivor of her litter. Her mom had another litter and the workers asked us if we could help them before they got hurt. Her mom and younger siblings went to rescue but ACC didn’t ask for rescue for her because she was older and healthy. They said she was fine to “Return to Home”. I am so thankful for the opportunity to get her into a great rescue that will find her the home and security she deserves. She is very friendly and sweet. She will make a family very happy. 💕 ... We had trapped there, I think 3 years ago, but there are many new unfixed cats at the same houses.I get so many calls every day, most from the same places where we trapped before. We would need dozens of people trapping non stop to really make a difference. ... See MoreSee Less

Happy Easter! These kittens are 11 years old now! I hope they are doing well. They were accepted into Peggy Adams’ adoption program so they were adopted locally. I always see these photos on Easter and it brings me back to those days when we used to spend hours playing with the kittens we rescued. ... See MoreSee Less

I am so glad I was able to see this sick opossum in one of the shelters. I thought it was sleeping but then I saw flies all around. He tried to move but was too weak. I was able to put him in a big plastic tote and I took him to Busch Wildlife Center in Jupiter. They said they would try to help him. I just didn’t want him to suffer. I am not sure if it is the same one that sleeps in the wooden shelter or if it is a different one. ... See MoreSee Less
