Today is feeling like such a heavy day. I was feeling sad thinking it was the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and then I had to take a very pregnant cat to ACC for an abort-spay. I know it has to be done, that it is the best for her but I always feel so sad doing it, knowing I am a part of the reality that those kittens cannot be born. After I left her at ACC I was feeling sad so I decided to go and do something good for cats already born and living in the streets. I went to Briarwood mobile home park to give flea treatments to some cats I had seen recently. The feeder was not there so I was only able to put it in one cat that let me do it. I left her 3 more vials so she could give it to others. She still needs 3 more vials to give to all the cats that she feeds. I decided to go to Edgar’s colony. He was deported so now another person is feeding them with dry and wet food donated by Sue C. (Not sure if I can put her last name here). I was able to give flea treatments to Pancho and the tortie. I need to get more for the others. As I was getting back to my car, I saw a lady I had helped years ago and I decided to go and talk to her. She told me there was a new kitten that was probably dumped there. It was a small orange and white kitten, full of fleas. She let me take him so he didn’t have to stay in the streets. I took him to ACC because I know they can find a rescue for him. He was super friendly. I then saw a video that Furry Friends posted asking for information on a man who had shot community cats at a plaza in West Palm Beach. My heart sank when I recognized the place. I had trapped for TNVR and rescued kittens and sick cats from that same spot. Many of us have trapped and cared for those cats and this monster was hurting and killing them. It is so unfair. Cats living in the streets are always in danger 💔
I had to go near this location on Pinion Dr., Lake Worth, FL where there was an injured cat and I was able to stop to check on him. Lady was telling me about all the cats and kittens that have been injured or have died there. Way too many. I actually learned about this place because I helped her with an injured cat earlier in the year. She has a dog that attacks the cats. Right now, there is one that is limping because the dog got his leg.I saw this beautiful orange kitten who is friendly and he does not deserve to die there. There are also so many mosquitoes, I kept putting insect repellent on my arms and they were still biting me. I saw them all around the cats. There is another sibling but lady says she is not friendly. Mom needs to be fixed, as well as others there.Please let me know if you can help this gorgeous kitten get out of there. He doesn’t deserve this. Lady said there were 4 kittens originally but 2 have disappeared. Thank you!
Look at the pictures I got from Kris and Dawn DiBari telling me they were able to trap the dog that my daughter saw in a remote area of Boynton Beach! They also helped some cats too! Thank you Rachel for going too. I am so thankful for their determination and dedication to get this dog out of that dangerous area.
Please pray for this stubborn little dog to be trapped today. My daughter saw him on Thursday morning in West Boynton Beach, FL while she was working at a power station. There are plant nurseries and just fields around so she tried to get him since it looked lost. He didn’t let her approach him. She had to leave so she asked me to post on Facebook to see if someone could help him. I did and kind people immediately offered to help. They have been trying to get him since then but he has not approached people and he has not gone into trap. They are not giving up and they are trying again. Praying for him to relax and let people help him. He will be scanned to see if someone is looking for him.
The backyard is a mess but the cats and the butterflies don’t seem to mind.
I am so glad I was able to trap them quickly! I had gone earlier in the day but it was so hot out and there were no cats around.
