Someone asked me the other day for photos of how I made some cat shelters. ![]()
I just use any type of cardboard box or container and I wrap it with different materials at hand to try to insulate it a little more. Sometimes I wrap the boxes with fabric and sometimes with other pieces of cardboard or plastic bags.![]()
I always finish them with a thick black garbage bag and use duck tape. ![]()
They can be put under bushes and they are not very noticeable. If possible, I put a couple of pavers underneath to prevent them getting wet if ground gets flooded. The cats usually go in.![]()
This time I am putting straw but I used to put blankets and they stayed dry.![]()
Yes, that cat is fixed, it is the neighbor’s cat and she prefers to live outside.
Sweet Cahya is one of our rescues that lives with a chronic condition that requires ongoing medical care. She suffers from stomatitis and has flare ups. This last one is getting under control. I took her to Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital for an injection since it is very hard to give her medication by mouth when it hurts her.![]()
We are very grateful for your donations. We could not help cats without your continued support. Thank you ❤️

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
I heard that Furry Friends had openings for spay and neuter surgeries in Jupiter, FL for today. I decided to get 3 appointments. Two are from the same house where I trapped last week. Another one from Clinton Blvd. in Lake Worth.![]()
I hope to do a few more next week.
Suzie is using one of the shelters to stay warm. The cold front is here and the temperature has dropped a lot. I need to make a couple more to see if other cats will use them.
